About our Support Group

We Make It Easy to Help Others

The North Walsham and Aylsham Parkinson's Support Group exists to provide practical support for those affected by Parkinson's in the North East area of Norfolk.  We meet regularly – on a monthly basis - when guest speakers address topics of common interest such as updates on Parkinson's research, or financial planning, as well as lighter topics such as gardening.  Practical groups also meet at other times for exercise, martial arts, singing and more – and we have occasional social gatherings such as joining Norwich support group’s 60th anniversary trip on the Norfolk Broads.

There are about 50 members of the North Walsham and Aylsham Support Group, with 30 or so attending regularly.  Everyone is made welcome, whatever their age.  The venue is accessible and so disability should not prevent anyone from joining us.  If you need regular care, we do ask that you arrange for a carer to join you at the meetings.

The group is run by a team of volunteers - please let us know if you would like to get more involved.
